I love the idea of it. But I still dont understand why the thing exists. I didn't know there was a hole in teh porsche line up.

It rocks dont get me wrong. But if you want a porsche coupe then why not a 911?

A few reasons I'm guessing

Luggage space

Mid range power boost. 217kw flat 6 as opposed to the 206kw Boxster 6. But not the heah kicking 317kw of the 911 Turbo

And then look at the Origins / Genes section of the display.

Ford did the GT40
Porsche has just resurrected the 1964 Carerra GTS and the 1953 550 Coupe.

Retro art, and its gorgeous

Looks very nice at the rear. Not sold on the front of it though. Those figures seem nice and juicy.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realise that what you heard is not what I meant.

Well... the other reason is that the Boxster only comes out in 5 speed.... Cayman is going to be 6 speed... hence a drivers car and more focused with dynamics... im sure it would be structurally stronger then the Boxster as well.... so faster in the bends.
