I'm about to do this on a Toyota Celica [Mustang shape] with turbo 1UZ-FE motor, auto and 9 "..
Any pics of their car or progress??? Four link etc?? It seems starting from scratch is much easier??

I started to on a TE cortina, They are sort of easy to do because there is a chassis cross member behind the front seat rear mounting points. Ended up binning it because it was to full of rust in the roof of the car. I'd say it would be easier with a celica due to the 2 door config. Once you cut out the floor pan its just a matter of fabricating and installing your own chassis rails, form where you cut the floorpan out, to the back of the car. And then go form there. I know McDonald Bros in Vic do rail kits. or you can get some Competition Engineering(Moroso) ones from Rocket Ind(i think thats who sells em).

Thanks SPK-383 ... Ive been around these types of cars for years but its the first attempt at this sort of thing.. I really like fabricating things WHEN THEY GO RIGHT !!!
I bought two books Drag race Chassis and suspension by Wayne Scraba... And Chassis Engineering by Herb Adams... Both good reading and interesting...
