You would hope that their main reason for owning two of the exact same cars would be because they where reliable...LOL

I briefly had 2 EA Ghias. After crashing my 90' model, I got an 88' model as a parts car, but ended up tidying it up and selling it (made a good profit). The colour was different (it was a darker silver), and it had done twice as many kms as my 90' model! (300,000 compared to 150,000).

A mate of mine had 2 almost identical EB GT replicas, Both Black but they sounded like crap as they both have the wheezy sounding 3.9L (they were both based on 89 EA's)
He sold one, then about a month later the other one got written off.

A few years ago , yes , 2 x 1986 XF wagons , both same colour (blue) , roof racks , towbar . Only difference was the Rego Plates .

I had 1 for a couple of years and was coming up to 330,000k's and was a little "tired" , so wanted a car for the wife & just happened to come across another one "exactly the same" with 126,000k's at a good price , so bought that one and had both for 2 1/2 years .

They looked so much alike I'd go to unlock MY car & the Bl**dy key wouldn't fit . oop's wifes car .

Sold mine when it got to 380,000k's , Wife sold hers about 18 months later .

My Father and I are mail contractors, we have 2 identical ED Falcons. Both are Cardinal Red. It's fun confusing people with them. We have the same cars to keep parts to a minimum.

Yes I do.

I have two 302 Fairmont XB coupes that are identical in paint, trim and running gear (from the factory) and were only 4 numbers apart on the production line.

I also own two identical HQ GTS Monaro's

None are on the road at the moment though - too may other projects to keep me busy!

When i needed a cheap car quick, i bought myself an xc Then we were checking the paper about 4 months later for a cheap car for my other half, there was another cheap xc in there, so she ended up with that :p

So now we both have xc's, both green, only diff is, hers is a manual. Hers has a crap body, and great mechanically, mines better on the body front, but is having a few issues

But for $1300 for the both of them, and a total of $500 in repairs for the year, we aren't complaining really

I have 2 x 98 EL Falcons

1 x 4.0L Futura (missus)
1 x 5.0L XR8 (Mine)

I never get them confused, but I have set them up so that the one remote opener will open both vehicles.

I just need to be careful when I jump into the 4.0L, Nowhere near the same acceleration.
