Have done a search but could not come up with a answer.
A mates XR AU3 has 2 broken head lights by stones on a recent highway trip and has asked me to help him replace them. Before he brings the car over I want to see what works involved. Does the front bar have to come of the car to replace them ? |

bar off, 4 bolts on the headlight......hopefully the brackets on the plastic frame arent broken, if so it needs plastic welding...
use a hair dryer to lightly soften the white plastic clips on the adjusters, and use a blade screwdriver to prise the clip off the adjuster bolts. its a little difficult, but once you work out how to do it you should be right. do you have an old light with good beams to replace them with? they're not something you can just buy seperate |

Thanks. Do you have to buy the complete unit with both lights? sounds a ripoff to me.

Ford stopped selling the AUXR in part formation a few years ago, nowadays you can only purchase the headlight as a complete unit (not cheap either).
If you need to purchase just the inner & outer beams, send me a PM, I have a few used ones in stock. _2: Thanks Phil, (dishpig) appreciate the mention :
