Went for a drive to Sydney on the weekend in the XR with a mate to pick up a car. On our way back home, I could hear this noise, that sounded like a couple of keys rubbing together.
I didn't think much of it on the way back, but when I arrived home, and cleaned the front of my car, I noticed a brand new little star in my freshly sprayed bonnet :-| Popped the bonnet, and you can see where the engine has twisted under load and been rubbing / hitting the bonnet. I hate engine mounts. And I strongly suspect I broke the passengers side one. Is this something you think could be tackled on your own? I've had mounts replaced before, and it's not cheap for a mechanic to do.

It's one of those jobs that are pretty simple, like a head gasket yet for some reason mechanics charge a fortune for it. Do it yourself
