Default F6X gets a facelift before it goes on sale.

Good to see Barret actually listening to the punters. As long as he is in charge FPV will do well.

Like when BA GT hit the stands at Sydney, people thought it looked to conservative and was given minor revisions before going on sale.

Great decision, I was another that was underwhelmed.

I'm liking FPV's new attitude, Barret seems to be doing very well.

good decision, maybe FPV can take a leaf out of Jeeps (SRT) book and make it more of a road racer
since the only people who buy the F6X wont be going off road in it anyway

It's probably not the best example as i think these Jeeps aren't that appealing, but i know what you're saying and I agree.

I don't want to see FPV go over board, but a little more effort will be well received i think.

yeah, i think it just needs unique FPV front/rear/side bodykit and some more flashy wheels, i wasnt really aiming at the good looks of the Jeep, more at how much they changed it from the stock model to that as its the SRT model

It won't get new body parts, they couldn't justify the cost for such a low volume model, but they need to do something to change the look. I'm perplexed as to why the other F6's get charcoal wheels while the F6X's were chrome, to me that doesn't fit in, but they said they will change the wheels so maybe something more similar to the Typhoon/Tornado. What it really needs but won't get is 20's. You can't have a performance SUV with wheels any smaller than that. But the cost of a DSC calibration change will kill that. They better not just give it stripes and say that's good enough.

Looks like they were already planning to offer larger wheels as an option anyway, meaning they already have the Territories DSC properly set up for it.

Program would be different as the weight, tyres, ride height, weight distribution are all different. Would require its own calibration.

Yeah too much work for an outgoing model.

All they need to do is change the headlights to XR versions and revise the front bar to match; simple as that.

The white F6X is a bit grocery getter, but I saw a photo of the
Sydney motor show with the white F6X, white Typhoon R spec. and Cobra parked together. It looked great.

The other pix of the white F6X by itself look ordinary.

The scary thing to me,is that they didn't know themselves before the show..

To give them the benefit of the doubt, if you look at the BA GT at the Sydney show, it was pretty inconspicuous & they responded to the feedback. I gather they put it out there, got the response they were expecting and then did what they originally planned but were not 100% sure of - ie big lairy stripes etc. Mind you with this F6X I think they took this theory too far! If that is what they were doing of course...

if they were to chuck on the XR lights they would need a new front bar as well.

i think the wheels look pretty bland

The pre-production BA-GT was missing the third 'arm' on the middle of the spoiler, the bonnet bulge was slightly different and it had no stripes.

This is exactly how it should have looked!!!!

This is the F6X

And this is my Turbo Ghia

There's not much differance really. Grill, black headlights and painted air intake(and wheels of course). The headlights are off a standard terry which i want to put on mine.
If i do that, paint the air intake im only missing the grill. Would anyone buy a GT if it looked like an XR8???

If i was going to pay the $$$ for the F6X i wouldn't like to be driving around having a TTG looking just the same.

As for power, a $500 flash tuner would see me getting more power than the F6X.

Unless they do ALOT more changes, it's nothing but a waste of money and a joke.

not agressive enough or "FPV enough" if you look at it that way....

just looks like a slap job at the moment, i hope they do it right...

Yeh, i thought it looked better without the middle arm for the spoiler. But i guess it gives extra support.
