Default Price of petrol in QLD

Has anyone else up here is the centre of the known universe (QLD) noticed petrol has gone beserk.
I filled the scooter on Saturday, $1.33.x per litre for 98ron.
I filled the F6 yesterday, $1.44.x per litre.

Is it just the locals doing the usual "holiday scam" or is it more widespread?

We've had $1.40's off and on down here (Sydney) for the last couple of weeks. Same as you - $1.29 one day, then up to $1.45-ish the next.

It's a worry when you see $1.29.9 and think "Geez that's cheap I'd better fill up"

Mate, in Sydney it just went up to $150.9 for 91RON or regular unleaded.
Now, it's also going to go up an extra 9 cents per litre thanks to some twit called Verity Firth in the NSW government who wants to recover the fuel vapour. You guys should look out for the same mindless idea, as the global warming crowd have now come into power.

By the way, Verity Firth wants to ban all 4 stroke lawn mowers for the pollution they put out which over an hour is roughly the same as 6 toyota corolla's. (Her words, not mine). People, these are your representatives in Government.

No corollas are 4 stroke. This is a common misconception attributed to the large trails of smoke often seen coming from the rear of corollas

Hehehehehe..... so true.

In WA, 98Ron floats between 132.9 and 140.9 in any given week.
Only Peak, BP and Caltex have 98 in WA, and not at every station.
Makes it hard, as I have only one BP within 15kms of my place.

That's what logic would suggest, but then again her official press release was banging on about 4 stoke mowers, and she went on to say that "4 cylinder mowers are the worst polluters in the suburbs".
The fact that this moron cannot ditinguish between 2 stroke, 4 stroke and then 4 cylinder suggests that again, someone has been promoted to ministerial level prematurely. What a stupid .
The worst part is that she is now enforcing on NSW motorists a 9 cents per litre tax on top of the exhorbitant fuel prices under the guise of climate change.

As for those of you wondering the price over christmas it won't matter, as there is to be a fuel strike.

Refueler at Sydney airport said they already had meetings with the union and are planning industrial action on the basis of a wage claim. Affects all fuel carriers including the delivery guys at servo's.

Sorry to say, but this guy is not a BSer either

I went overseas for 5 weeks only to come back and see that LPG had jumped from ~52.9 c/L up to 67.9c/L! Not bad, a 28.35% increase in the price!

71.9 for Gas
Shell Servo 5klm north of Bowen

I'm going for a run up to the NT in December, that'll be interesting!
Should be able to avoid most expensive places, load a few Jerry Cans in the tray.

Quite well, 0-400 in about 11 sec and tops out around 200km/h although I have not been much over 150km/h on dirt.

Like its been stable at all in recent years. You just know theyre going to pull the subsidy with all this. They wanted to swap it for an $80 rego discount, which 3 regos from now would be gone anyway. A recent inquiry has revealed there has been widespread abuse of the 10c/litre subsidy, so the removal will be back on the cards.

Great news if you drive less than 5,000 km a year, not so good for 4x4 or V8.

I filled up for $1.20.? on Sunday for 91 RON, havent had to fill it again yet. Although I spent $5 in the Mobil, so add the 3 or 4c or whatever it is.

Yep, I'm seeing a 15 to 20 cent rise in the cost per litre....bloody rediculous. Where I could afford to put BP Ultimate in up until recently, I am now paying the same, or more, for the standard unleaded 91 octane stuff.

Up until the end of September I was staying in the southern suburbs and paying as little as $1.06 for standard unleaded and $1.14 for Vortex.

has anyone else noticed the increase in the price difference between 98 and 91?
it used to 8- 10c more for ultimate than 91 crappy fuel, when i filled up yesterday in sans souci (sydney) 91 was 1.29 and ultimate was 1.42.

at this price i try not to run the tank down to empty.

C'MON PRIME MINISTER RUDD, YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE OIL COMPANY RORTING US!!!!!!!!!!

I paid 131 cpl for BP ultimate today at Northlakes. I always get fuel on the way to work as by the time i head home the price has jumped happens every Wednesday. I feel sorry for you guys down south paying that much. When i first moved to QLD 114cpl for 98, what a joke

Default price petrol

I filed one car yesterday Bris Rocklea $1.30 for pup. Today filled another car same servo $1.42 for pup. Must be profits for servos. A lot of private schools are breaking so price goes up for mum and dads taxi service. Have to wait till next year for prices to come down.
