Default Just bought my first FPV !!

Hey all, Hope everyone had a safe but enjoyable festive season.

Just traded my 05 XR8 auto on an 04 FPV pursuit 6sp man. in Mandarin with 45K on the odo. Has a custom exhaust already (I believe its hand made) sounds awesome!! :

Also while I was in Perth, I was given a voucher for Trackskills V8 commodore cup racing at Barbagello raceway for a chrissy present!
Turned out to be an awesome day, everyone had a blast and the instructors
are great guys... I highly recommend the experience. As an added bonus my team ended up winning on the day, so I got a nice trophy to take home too!

Will post some pics of the new beasty when its parked long enough he he

Default Phone pics

Ok people I just uploaded a couple of quick snaps with my phone

I used to think my XR8 was quick... but its got nothing on this one
I dont think its had any mods other than the exhaust, but its hard to tell without pulling covers off the engine. The whole car rocks at idle!

Yeah that wasn't a complaint, I like the rocking, Its actually kind of soothing lol
I reckon if everyone had a boss 290 there would be a lot less road rage and a lot more drivers with something to smile about! he he

Wow... now I know people are entitled to thier own opinions... But that comment was a bit left-of-field eh?
My XR8 was quicker over the quarter than a VZ Malloo with the 6.0L and 6speed... everytime he had to change gears I walked away from him !
But I suppose a Malloo isn't just anything with an engine, or is it??

Oh and if you think I made that story up, check the pages of Street Machine, I believe its either the nov 2006 or dec 2006 issue with the silver and blue torry on the cover. he he

Someone has been reading too many wheels magazines. A properly driven Boss 260 will easily match any stock LS1 SS.

Nice ride whitelightening. Have you got any plans to take it to the drags? With an extra 30kw the 290 should go a fair bit better than the 260.

S/P blute, how does yours go? Have you taken it to the drags or dyno day?
Have you done any mods at all and what did you think of them?

Nice one! Good to see you went the 6sp man. If possible get a dyno run and let us know what it pulls. I think youl be pleasantly surprised at how powerful these motors are

No i agree with you there, But they are more interesting than the standard wheels.
I would like to get some black 19" wheels with the chrome lip on there and possibly remove the decals

Its October 04 so it may have been in the transitional period or maybe even an optional extra? I dont really know, I thought all FPV's had the 6 speed manual as an option after mark 1
