Default For serious model car collectors

Sorry if this is a repost.
XY phase 3 HO,1/8 scale, weighs 10 kilos.
Too late to order one for Christmas, bit out of my price bracket.

I actually saw the advert for this model in a mag. Very tempting as there was a very limited number made. Detail looks good too. But im more than happy with my Bill Bourke Special XW. The King of Kings, No Peers.

At 1/8 scale, I'd say 10kg is pretty light!

The ship with the separately sold engines has arrived and the car models (with engines) are coming in very soon.

Put the wheels on using a miniature wheel brace on the nuts, glove box opens, bonnet pins work, dip stick works, fuel filler works, micro etched build number on the compliance plate, replication of original owners manual in 1/8 scale. Hopefully it lives up to all of the hype.

Anyone getting one can say they have a mint, 1 owner, never smoked in, delivery miles only PH 3 GTHO at home.

The first 1971 (sold out) are in track red, and the second model run (300?) is in white.
1/8 replica for $1k in 2008, original for sale at around $5.5k in the 70’s

p.s. England has a large cottage industry that caters for small runs of scratch built large scale models, someone like grandprix models or similar. F1 engines, F1 cars (with the specific modifications that were there for a particular race), etc, etc.

I spotted it in the lastest Aust Muscle Car, but it didn't give a price so I went to the web site. $1000 for a model car, youch, I couldn't justify that to the Mrs.

its still so tempting to buy one of these, but with 100+ ford variants on cabnets and on shelfs every ware I dont think she would be too happy : Still if you brought 2 you could sell one off in a few years and make good money on it .. I got 2 of the original 1/18th Moffat 65E Biantes
when they first came out 5 or so years ago @ $170 sold one off on E bay for $800..to pay for my cortina
