Hey everyone, I'm soon taking delivery of an t5 fitted, EL XR6.
One thing im planning to do is have a go taking it down the strip at willowbank. As i've never done this before im abit curious in regards to how to launch the car properly to get a decent launch without bogging down or going up in smoke lol. Anyone have any advice? Thanks, Sam

Try 3000 first up, if it bogs down go up 500 rpm. Go up in smaller increments until you pretty much find a happy medium. Ease it first off and as you get a few runs you'll know how harsh you can release the clutch before it becomes useless.
Also the BBM comes on around 3500-4000 as well so it will be a bit different trying to launch at that rpm, it will probably tyre spin. Also depends on what wheels you're running. If it is low profiles, a small burnout (if that) just to get the water off should be fine. Too big and the tyres leach a bit, become too soft and will just spin. But half the fun is finding these things out the hard way. it:
