Default Best driving Record on FF.

Ok.. i'll go against the trend of "sook and moan" threads and start a positive one:
Who's got the best driving record here? Years of driving, approximate number of K's over that period, number of at fault accidents and number of speeding or driving infringements.

For me:

Driving for 22 years, 1 speeding fine less than 15 over, no at fault accidents and travelled approximately 600,000 K's over those 22 years..

Others?

Licensed since early '01 (7 years now),

1 speeding fine, less than 10kph over

no at fault insurance claims (one not-at-fault, one minor single-car bingle fixed privately)

I do 500+k's a week for work, travelled at least 300,00k's in 4 states in the last 7 years.

1 parking fine because police were called to a party & decided to book every car in the court.

Driving 21 years, no accidents, plenty of Bike related speeding fines (one licence loss) back in the day, nothing in the last 10 years.

No idea on klm driven, would be getting close to 500,000.

A quick question if you were to lose your bike license becos of speeding,
do you lose your drivers license as well?

Well I am old, and I was a full time truck driver, but I will give it a go.

Licenced (and only time) back in 1975.

Never lost licence.

God, I wouldn't even hazard a guess at kilometres travelled, but I now do about 600k's per week on average.

Last traffic offence was a speeding fine back in about 1998 I guess.

Had a few before then, nearly all heavy vehicle related, no speeding in trucks though.

At a a guess I reckon I have had about 3 or 4 speeding fines my whole driving career, all under 15k's over the limit, that much I do remember.

Had a few ugly prangs back in the real early days, some my fault, some not, no-one hurt though.

EDIT: I actually got a real dodgy overtaking on double lines ticket back in about 1998 as well, I challenged it, took it to court and got a no recorded conviction, no fine.

Licensed late 01 I think??? :

No speeding fines, no accidents. Only been fined for tailgating and excess noise.

My brother-in-law was a taxi owner for about 4-5 years and has been a truck driver for about 10+ years and got his first ticket last year, wrote a letter and got it squashed with a slap on the wrist, not bad for a bloke of 46 I reckon.

Ok ummmm,

I was a little naughty when I first got my license.

Driving 12 years

Disqualified ( loss of license ) from driving 4 times ( 3 from careless use of a vehicle, 1 from demerit points ), 5 speeding fines, About $9000 worth of fines ( no rego or wof, bald tyres, carrying passengers on restricted license, speeding etc ). I know, young and dumb.

1 accident, my fault showing off with friends and slammed my MK 3 GT cortina into a hedge ( 10 years ago ). I dont know ks, probably over 400,000kms.

Cleaned my act up a number of years ago now and have not had a fine since.

My last fine was in 2001.

I guess I've been driving 14 years.
No fines (unless you count a council issued parking fine)
3 warnings.
As for kms, if I assume on average 20,000kms per year, that would be... ummm... carry the one... add 7...
roughly 280,000kms.

Oh, no at fault accidents. A couple of bingles that weren't my fault.

Driving legally nearly 30 years & can add a few years to that as used to drive a paddock basher from the age of 12 or so as well.

2 accidents not my fault.

4 or 5 speeding fines & lost licence once for doing a burnout in front of police (did not know they were there as they were hiding in the dark lol) & then losing them when they chased only to be dobbed in by one of my rear seat passengers who was a friend of a friend :(

That was long ago & these Days I am a good Boy (mostly).

I got my license when I was 15, got my first speeding ticket about 3 or 4 months into it. The cop told me it was an instant fine, I freaked out because it was my brothers car and if he found out I was speeding in it he would kick my B-hind (He's 14yrs older than me and was like a Dad to me, since I lost mine). I went straight the the ATM and got out the money and spent the next couple of hours trying to find out where to pay this "Instant fine", I started freaking out and went to the Police station (Traffic cops and Police were a completely different departments in those days) The Police officers behind the counter laughed at me and said the I had 28 days to settle it :lookedat: I felt like such a fool. That was my first, then I moved to Aus and got one while trying not to be late for work when I was 21 (1990) I haven't had an infringment since, although I've been pulled over many times, I've driven an XA/B series coupe since I moved here.

Cheers,

Kraig

~1.5 million k's, 12 years, 2 single vehicle acco's, 1 nose to tail bumper bender. Tickets = more than most I guess but in alignment with the k's I've covered.

My Grandfather got his licence in 1934, then went into the army as a mechanic and truck driver from 1939 to 1948.
When he came back he became a taxi driver until he retired in 1978.
I'm not even going to hazard a guess as to how many K's he did during that time.

When he finally had to hand in his licence last year aged 89, he still had a perfect driving record. Not even a parking fine.
