Hey All,
I have to replace my radiator as it has corroded down one side, has anyone had much experience with PWR radiators? Is there any benefit from fitting them? in terms of better cooling\lasting longer etc. Or should I just buy one from Ebay, I got quoted $942 from PBR for one. Thoughts? |

Yeah I am leaning toward the PWR as I want to eventually get into track work with it.

is there much difference between the brands? such as build quality, performance, durability?
the only reason I ask this is that the mechanic that I go to for all of my performance mods, was saying that if I am interested in going down the turbo track (sometime next year) that I should invest in the PWR, but if it isn't any better than a normal one ill get the normal one. Thoughts? |

ok, now its starting to make some sense, so do I get the ADRAD one or the PWR one?
oh and do you know what sort of money the ADRAD one is? as far as I can see the PWR one is made from supposed high quality Aluminium and the ADRAD one is made from imported parts (has made with imported parts on the website) |

I don't know about imported parts, but you have the choice between copper and aluminium with the ADRAD. If I remember correctly it was only about $200 for the copper item and only a few dollars less for the aluminium.
EDIT: I'm by no means an expert, but i'd say the difference between the two would be that the aluminium is lighter but the copper conducts better. |

I went through the fun of getting a radiator for the work ute that could handle heavy load in the middle of summer without the needle creeping towards H.
In the end I went with the ADRAD twin core copper radiator ... with the heavy duty/towing internal transcooler (I also have an external cooler as well). $275 inc. GST. Twice the thickness of standard ... does the job perfectly. Although in winter on the highway ... I watch the temp needle plummet towards C.

You can get an ADRAD 3row radiator... and from my sources, they even have an Brass Tank version... food for thought... and PWR... their street radiators simply arent worth the cost. They do however make some very high quality intercoolers and HEAVY raced based radiators.
I'd go the 2 row for everyday use and you'll be laughing and the quality difference over std factory... but if you want something a bit tougher for the strip, ask around for the brass tank, 3 row assembly...

I didn't know PWR did normal street stuff? I thought the $942 I got quoted was for the race series stuff?
Anyway I have emailed ADRAD for some more info and prices. |
