Default Wanted: Tickford CAI Snorkel

Good evening all,

I'm experiencing a LOT of difficulty in obtaining a Tickford CAI snorkel ala T-series/xr8, so if anybody is selling one or knows where i can score one in the Brisbane Reigon, please let me know. Or alternatively, if there are generic brands equivalent to it available. I've been told SS induction, etc are useless for an XR6, also seem to be insanely expensive :

Excellent thanks heaps for that, but just to double check, is it worth actually doing this, performance-wise?

there are differing opinions on this IMHO i found slightly better bottomend response and a nicer induction sound when I opened it up but maybe i was just feeling what i wanted to . for the cost though you haven't much to loose

too true, and bottom end response is my preference as opposed to sky-high revving.

Can't comment on the XR6 but far from useless on an XR8.

One of the best mods I have done, transformed the vehicles throttle response, breathes much easier all the way to the redline, a terrific improvement.

The size of the mouth is much larger than the Tickford design, (probably 3 times larger actually) where it joins into the airbox is about twice the size so a larger hole has to be cut in the airbox.

Not cheap at $300 but for me it was well worth it, others may not see the value but this CAI works very well, no doubts on that one.
