Default Hi all

Gday AU falcon enthusiasts....

I'm new to these forums and bought an AU III XR6 HP manual sedan in Congo Green about a week ago, and already I want more power!

I am looking at extractors to go with my 2.5 inch Lukey cat back. Just wondering what is the general consensus on the best ones in terms of performance, sound and value for money.

Thanks.

Are you talking about extractors or sports exhaust here?

I'd go pacemaker extractors, they are the most popular brand around here. As for a sports exhaust to match your cat, I'd go a Redback sports. All 3 of these combined should be good for 10% extra go.

Cheers and welcome to the forums,

GK

wrong.

my lukey cat back sounds better than every other AU i;ve heard with a redback system.

that being said, its muffler choice that makes them sound different, and its my opinion.

my car pulled 125rwkw with just a lukey cat back exhaust. stock otherwise so i think they perform alright.

I would agree. I really loved the sound of the Lukey on my old six pack AU. I found that Redback equipped cars sounded muddier than their nice and crisp Lukey counterparts.

thats a great way to describe it. my mum's lane with redback system just sounds like, i dunno, blergh, just droney i guess, where my lukey system acually has a bit of a note to it.

Another vote for the Lukey, i had one on my old XR6 HP and it had a very crisp note

Sounds like the pacies are the go then. I had Hitech ones on my old Forte and while they were good my mate had them on his XR6 and thought they actually reduced his power (it had over 200,000 on the clock though).

An edit and custom tune would be nice but no one out here in the sticks (i.e. the Riverina) seems to do them.

pacemaker 4499's or 4480's if you plan on doing a bit of work to the motor
