Default XR8 Steering Wheel

Just got the car back from ford. It looks like someone ran a knife around the steering wheel :
It looks like they will replace it.
My question is

Can you still get a ford Tickford momo wheel (BLUE) and how much would it be?

It must be original :

Yep you sure can. Send HOTC2R a PM. Last time I bought one (3 years ago) it was about $300.00

List price through Fraud Spares is over $1200 and the red MOMO one is about three times that.

They were imported for Ford by roman autotek, they're the official MOMO importers for Aus. No real "fakes" as such, its either a genuine MOMO one or a completely different design.

Yer you got that right, Fraud spares.

Anyone looking for a brand new Momo s/wheel, send me a PM. They certainly will be alot cheaper than that. A couple left and that is the last of them.
Now very rare so might be a good idea to put one away for later on.

It looks like when Ford gave the car to the local tyre bloke for the wheel alignment he did not use the steering wheel brace properly. He moved the wheels the steering wheel turn. One big cut around the wheel. Ford said they will be taking it up with him.

Fair enough too - if it wasn't Ford, then they shouldn't be held responsible for the actions of a third party. BUT, they should do their best to get the third party to make reparations to your car. If they won't, take the wheel alignment place to small claims court.

It is used to hold the wheel when doing the alignment.

Not good. Alot of buck passing going on
The service manager is now looking at it but it is not looking good.
I was told the wheel goes like that over time but it was not like that when it went in the car has only 52009km on it. It goes out only every second weekend if it is lucky. this is not good caming from a big motor company like ford. The car has a three year warrnaty so I am stuck going to them.

What fun it is. sending HOTC2R a PM might happen. it not the wheel it is the lack of care with my cars. first it was the focus smashed the windsheld bonnet on it's 10000 km service now this. I did not like taking my cars to the shop now it's my ford dealer.
(No one trashes your ford we do)

First crop circles and now "Steering Wheel Circles!" LOL!

Hope they come to the party man, there's no excuse for that sort of buck passing.

KUP.

Any chance you could put up a pic of the damage?

Start screaming your head off in the Ford office when there are heaps of people there, and say that you want a new steering or you wont..do..something...I dont know just make a threat. Anyway the busiest time is after work when everyone goes and picks their car up around 4 o'clock. If that doesn't work call the onbudsmen (I think thats how you spell it) and perhaps they'll get something done. just an idea...
