well i just put my trans cooler on my car and went to run the lines and wen i took them off the radiator they have been flaired outwards.
so my question is how do i get the hose on there? do i cut a bit off and make it round again then chuck it on there or just try feed it on? and also how much trans fluid do you think i will lose. will i be able to drive it around till like monday until im at work where im going to do a trans service? cheers josh.

I only lost a little bit of fluid, it couldn't have been more than a cup full and I don't think it has caused any ill effects.

Have you tried heating up the hose with boiling water to make it more pliable? I'm assuming the hoses are rubber here! LOL!
Just make sure the clamp is on the hose first! LOL! GK

Due to there being no flare/lip to hold the hose on, I double clamped just in case, not sure if that makes any difference. With the fluid loss, I lost maybe a cup or so when undoing the lines. I filled the cooler up before putting it on though (again maybe a cup), and then got the trans topped up that week.

yeah will be able to drive it it will be fine mate, i filled my transcooler with oil before i hooked it all up, and the bellmouthed pipes i cut the ends off from memory, that way your hoses slip on nicely, i havent had a issue.

I bought two female brass fittings. Flared one end and threaded the other and two barbed hose tail fittings to screw into them. This way I did not have to cut the pipes and could return the car to normal quickly if a hose blew or whatever.

have bought a 3 row aluminium radiator, which doesnt have the coiled trans cooler in it, my car currently has the factory radiator trans cooler, as well as the one that gets fitted in front of the radiator
i presume it will be fine, but will there be any issues with bypassing the in radiator cooler and only having the one fitted in front of the radiator? |

^^no, you're best off doing that anyway as if the stock one in the radiator lets go then it fills your trans with coolant....you then need a new trans
