Default introducing myself and car :)

hi there!
totally new to this site - to be honest, i've only just stumbled across it!
anyway, thought i'd better come in and introduce myself... my other half... and our car.

we're a couple who've recently moved to the waaaayyy way south from w.a., having driven across the country to relocate.
i'm a 40 yr old woman who's always had a thing for fords, and he's a die-hard 45 yr old ford man, who's owned a number of cars, but currently only has one.

the car:
an 1987 XF fairmont ghia,
with -windsor 351, 4V dart heads, EFI, solid cam, pacemaker extractors, mandel built custom exhaust, 4" tailshaft, toploader gearbox, hurst close-ratio shifter, ford 9" diff, pedder pumps, XE ESP suspension, lowered front end, phase 3 bonnet scoop, symmonds rims, all original as-new interior, custom tint.

this car exists because ford short-changed - expecting a V8 XF and not getting one!
so, he built it instead.

we also have a pretty good collection of 1:18 scale models ... all fords bar one (who knew moffat drove a holden!).

right, well that us into'd.
hopefully, we'll be around here for a while.... and look forward to getting to know a few here!

When you say way south do you mean Albany.
If so there are a few car clubs down there that might be of interest to you.

Oh and welcome, theres lots of great info in AFF if you get stuck on anything. Somebody will know about it and be able to tell you how to get it, fix it etc.

You should be in Albany though - the only city in Australia where theres no traffic lights! Only round and round and round and round and round abouts
