Hey guys im thinking of upgrading my Throttle body from the 65mm to the 70mm tickford one, on my au 2 xr8 200kw ute- firstly is it a good/worth while mod?
Secondly do i then need to replace my mass air flow sensor? Ive got a flash box so it can be tunned later.... wanting to do with my 1.72's YT's and a new cam? Any thoughts or suggesting would be great. thanks peter |

Cause i can get a new 75mm T/B and spacer both from ford racing parts for $575, thought these with the 1.72 YT roller rockers, and camshaft kit im getting soon would all go well together? any thoughts? or any one know where i can get a 70mm tickford one? cheers peter

How can i say that a bigger throttle body and 1.72 rockers will go well with your new cam your getting when i dont even know what cam your getting. I honestly think you dont know what you want, you have another thread started about supercharging, yet your saying here that you just got 1.72 rockers and a new camshaft kit. :S

70mm is plenty big enough for virtually any street driven 5L.
75mm is way too big IMO. Reality is, the difference between 65mm and 70mm is not a lot, as the 65mm unit will flow almost enough to rev to 7000rpm.
