Default BF and FG Photo Together

Can anyone help. I was looking on AFF the other day and came across of a bloke who just bought a Blue FG xr ute and there was a photo of it next to a BF Xr ute.
I want to compare the two visually, I tryed lots of searching in many different ways to find it but couldn't.

If anyone has this photo or any others side by side could you please post them up.

Thanks

Thumbs up

Thanks Davo thats the one Im after. Its a good picture becouse they both are xr6s and both blue.

I dont think the Bf looks toooo outdated. It seems both the latest commodore and falcon have a larger verticle area front end, i.e. larger grill, lights, lower grill.

The Fgs to BFs/BA and the VE to VZ/VY is like comparing a artline500 texta to a pencil

Wow, although the BF there doesn't look that bad, it's amazing how simple and...well boring in a sense the lines are compared to the new FG.
Good photo for comparing that one.

Yeah I maintain that if you were there in the person the difference is even more profound.

i like how they flattened the roof line above the doors, now it matches the rest of the lines of the car, unlike the bf where the bottom half is boxy and square with a roundish roof...... hmmmm that didn't make sense

the changes only seem sublte when you see a BF by it self, then see an FG by itself. but seeing the 2 together like that, its amazing how much they actually have changed....makes me like the FG even more now:P

I still try and wonder how them people (mainly the Holden bogans) think the FG and BF look the same, everytime I see an FG I know instantly its the new model, if I see a BF and know instantly its the old model. The subtle yet big differences are done very well

Sounding like a broken record here, but I reckon the VE and VZ look the same, except the VE just has a fatter backside and is beefed up on steroids.

Otherwise, I can definitely see link between models.

Funny how the mass media doesn't. Maybe because I'm nuts.

The one that gets up my nose is the "all new" Mazda 6.

Looks just like the old one to me, except for the new tail lights,

Yeah, yeah, I know it's bigger all round, no common panels, etc, etc. but it still looks like the old one.

Yet the journos who were bagging the FG for being to similar to the BF haven't said boo about the similar styling of the new and old Mazda.

There are definite double standards out there.

To me when I look at that picture it would seem that the BF utes look less dated and differentiated from the FG model in general due to 'that' roofline missing, or half of it at least.

You serious? The new 6 looks nothing like the old one! Not even a little bit!

I find it funny how the pics are from the front, is it because the FG is butt ugly from the back?

BS, the FG is loads better then the bland BA-BF butt, the rear on them was a let down for the whole car.

Completely agreed, the rear end on my AU XR looks much better and less bland than my parents Typhoon (even more so their old BA turbo). It was the first thing my dad said when he had the Typhoon side by side with the AU.

The FG is superb looking; it's a euro-falcon. Still aggressive but much more upmarket, I absolutely cannot understand how the general public aren't taking to the new Falcon enough. It's something that looks good straight away to most anyone, not at all like the VE's subjective styling. I will be purchasing an FG in the future that's for sure!

FG much more streamlined, cleaner and better proportioned at the front than the old model. And the rear of the FG is less plain looking.

The FG looks disproportioned to me. The wheels look so so so tiny on them..
It looks like someones just touched up the BA design in photoshop and released it as a car.

the FG looks like a one piece moulding where as the BA looks like it is a few metal panels bolted to a frame (boxy looking compared to the FG)

Yeah boxy is the right word for the BA/BF when side by side with an FG.

The FG XR front end is so nice. I love it. The rear lights are still 50-50 but over all its a nice looking car. BF looks boring and old next to the FG.

The FG GT has a nice front end also, in person anyway. I saw a yellow one at work today and i loved it.

I also saw an FG XR8 with the FG GT bonnet decal. Looked really good. White car Black bonnet decal.
