I'm after a bit of help.
I recently-ish bought an AU3 sedan, that I have been slowly pulling apart. But before I pull the engine / trans out I want to make sure it runs. I have been careful to not take anything off the car that will effect anything regarding the engine. So all the sensors and wiring remains in tact. My problem is that before I bought the car it had no battery in it for quite some time (~12 months), and now when I put the key in, although it is the right key for it, the cars security doesn't recognize it. To compound the problem, I only have 1 key. So my question is, how do I get the computer to recognize THIS key in order to get it started and running? Any help would be appreciated.

You cant program au3 keys yourself, you have to tow it to ford or find a moblie auto that can program trasponder keys. Chip inside key may be damaged, might have to get a new transponder key cut than program, not cheapiesh........ |

Thank you, I'll have a chat to the local auto electrician and see if he can do it.
