Default Top Gear Australia Episode 3

Here we go again. They're driving something Clarkson drove last season (or the season before). CLK Black.

Let's see if they bugger this up.

The Stig? I still don't get that. Is he "The Stig", or is he an Australia guy?

At least they haven't red lined a brand new, and taken it to the red line yet.

Marginally better. But not perfect.

OMG - Looks like they have done an upgrade with the camera on the test track - seems alot more HD - ie. Better colour, less grainy, etc...

AND the crew didn't sound like Matthew White around Bathurst - they don't scream and carry on like they normally do, they seem a bit more relaxed...

I think come Season 2, this show will be spot on! However, still got the rest of the show to go.

Austin - you wonder why don't you.

The Poor Falcon.

To the Fake Clarkson - If I hear that you had a Belmont not a Premier one more time...

Edit: Turn the Parking Sensors off you moron. My X5 doesn't beep anywhere near that much.

It was a poofteenth better than the last show.

At least they are showing they won't give in to the complaining PC police.

I really wanted this to be a good show, certainly it needs to be given it is in substitute to the UK version.

sigh..... but its not.... I don't even last to the end before I find something else better to do.

strike three - no more for me.

Pathetic on the wannabee Clarkson being a one eyed Holden supporter. The 1st week he is saying the Holden 253 is a great engine and the 3rd week he chooses a slow as wet weak HT.

Pretty poor how they didn't even fix the misfire on the EB but had enough time to paint it yellow.

Wasnt a bad episode. The filming of the test track was much better but it doesnt seem to look fast compared to the UK test track. X6 part seemed to drag on a bit too much. Who really cares about a coupe/suv??? Lot less shouting than previous episodes. The Merc Black series was done a few seasons ago so was a bit of a waste.

I wanna see a hot hatch segment (not that im biased) appear eventually. Not everyone wants V8s. But i think they are doing a good balance so far in terms of Holden & Ford.

the Review on the merc was probally the best review yet, because it was a proper review. The Paddock bash was fun, but needed some better/more challanges. The X6 segment had its merit, Topgear Uk tested some seemingly silly cars (F-150, couple of "off roaders" etc). The use of scenery is getting better aswell.

Im glad that they use Warrens cartoons as part of the show, as it give the shom some unqiue flavor.

I think the "what on earth were they thinking" wall needs to loose the tacks, can't SBS Aus afford velcro?

Now there is a contradiction in terms.

The reviews were much better this week in that there was an actual opinion given.

I don’t like the Stig introduction in UK top gear. It was sort of amusing for about a season and a half but its old now for Richard and Clarkson let alone our version.

Speaking of old, so too is a star in an irrelevant car. I fast forward through the UK version too.

The actual footage and description of the track was much better and "what were they thinking" is a good addition replacing the cool wall.

Didn't enjoy this week’s challenge as much as last week.

Improving I think, ill keep watching.

Editing is improving and the hosts are relaxing. Still not a fan of Charlie, but i finally starting to like Steve (who i loathed in the 1st episode) and I quite enjoy Warren and his cartoons, yes a poofteenth is 3/5ths of F.A.

The star in a standard car and the X6 segment took a little too long and well Julia Zemiro... come on. Its like they realised its 1 hour before screening, 'oh hell we dont have a star lined up, lets just grab someone from the SBS lunchroom who's on the payroll'.

Otherwise I sort of enjoyed it and yes what was Holden thinking when they came up with Starfire, ive driven a Starfire Corona and boy was it crap.
