That reminds me of the southpark movie where Jay Leno or some talk show host rats out terrance and phillip, then he jumps out of the window from a high rise building and lands on a car dead, the guy runs out and turns his car alarm off and goes back in completely avoiding the dead guy splattered on his car.
Thats disgusting, even for someone to come and drop off Maccas to them, then watch the guy die without attempting to help.

Thats pathetic.. They caused an accident, killed the man, and couldnt even bloody help. That amazes me to start off with. Then to have maccas dropped off. Fekn idiots..
I would guess they think there awesome and trying to be cool about it. Big notieng themselves.. "remember when so and so was in the crash.. Yeah the **** mad got macas before he was arrested.." There is something about youths that I dont get.. Im the same age and I cant see how they can do that.. Im not perfect by any means. If i do something wrong, I try fix it of suffer the consiquence.. At least feel guilty for it.. Sounds like these dick heads had no remorse.. Hope the goes to jail and meets bubba..

Unfortunately these kids are products of our society these days. There's no consequence from parents, schools, and now legal system. How can we possible expect anything more if there is no respect for themselves or other people. Together with this and the mindless "music" idols they have to look up to I am genuinely concerned for my two little ones.
But for these kids, as a start, make them all visit the families of this man and deliver the 'knock on the door' (I've been there as the receiptant) news of what has happened instead of police. Make them visit the funeral to see the wider impact of their actions. As for the driver, perhaps remove his hands to prevent him ever holding a steering wheel again? Too harsh?

The one thing that amazes me is that they keep referring to him as a teenager. Well at 18 I suppose he is, but it also deems him as an adult.
So maybe the courts may do the right thing and lock him up for a long time. But being 18 it will be with in the big house and it will be interesting to see how he likes it in there. Bend over please : I think after a couple of nights he would be the type to start crying for mummy. |

there's no way an 18 year old would be allowed to pilot a WRX anyway with the turbo restrictions on P platers.
And where did he get the car from? I've never driven something as good as a WRX in my life.

Another tabloid media beat up, but regardless it loses sight of the bigger issue, a fatal accident by a driver known by police due to previous reckless driving.

Ok. Young 'men' with no compassion, or no sense of responsibility.
THe driver should be banned from driving for a bloody long time. I would also like the book to actually be pulled out, and then use it to belt these young fools over the head. They need some sense smashed into them. Whether you like to admit it or not, the human race is becoming worse. Gen Y (of which I am one) and Gen Z are too often self-aboserbed and place too much importance on the individual (often themselves as a solitary being). Ants might be stupid insects who just follow the back, but at least they work for the greater good. Also, if the Simpsons has taught me anything, giant space ants will one day conquer Earth. I choose the ants.

There was a follow up on this today :
http://www.news.com.au/story/0,27574...0-1248,00.html Apparently he was already on bail for 19 other charges from the drug court, he was un-licenced and the car was un-registered. His Lawyer reckons he's not a callous boy... The world could do without people like this...

forgetting the drivers prior convictions etc..
It sounds all disgusting while being put like that but what do you really think they are going to do - i would have done exactly the same thing, although i would have called an ambulance - did it say if they did that??.. i'm not going to risk someones life, possibly killing or making them a paraplegic by trying to drag them out of a collision unless there was a fire or something like that. the most i would do is direct traffic. other then that they would have been in shock. Dont think of them as the scum of the earth, sure what they did wasn't exactly tasteful but what else could they have done? and the crash itself is disgraceful but they were probably scared sh**less that their own lives were ruined, especially as they would have been so confused they wouldnt have known what was going on anyway.. atleast this is what I would have thought if i was in their shoes, you see too many medical shows saying do not move a crash victim blah blah blah, could cause permanent spinal injury but then again we'll never know what was going through their own heads at the time.

I agree the reporting is most likely overstated on face value I think the issue is the lack of consideration for anyone but themselves.
