It still amazes me how many people dont realise there is a difference between a 'V' and a straight...

I remember when ABC Radio was reporting on the future discontinuation of the I6, the reporter constantly said, "Inline V6 engine/motor". It really peeved me. But most people would not know the difference between a V6 and an Inline six, or the benefits/detractors of each.

Thats nothing.
Look in the Trading Post, and you can find an add for a industrial oven (or something), and the picture has a shiny red tractor! ROFL

Maybe it's a way of Mcnamara's mindful thoughts of making parity work (V8SC's)???
You know the mentality "If you can't beat em join em". |

You want to try the weekend shopper (like the trading post) in the Courier Mail here in Brisbane every word in the main paper written by journalists is word perfect then you come to the ads at least one spelling mistake in each ad and ads next to each other with diferent spelling almost every Falcon /or is that Fairmount is "RWD" and or have V6 motors and just about all of them say ring "so and so" at any time on any day
Chevs are shevvs or once I saw a Chevv in parlour maybe the were looking for a massage plus the usual 12volt diffs I think they are written by 15 year olds doing community service using yanky predictive text like liter meter and so on I thought they were talking about puppies or oil guages and the like and dont get me on to the acro/acrow/ accro /accrow props for sale all in the same collumn hopeless dont the kids of today get taught English thanks John what the; |

Sometimes I'm not sure if it's more painful reading trading post ads or reading stuff in here....
I love the irony humour though. Awesome! Lukeyson

That's why I posted it, just to show, how even a HOLDEN dealer got it so wrong (still). :

Yeah, most of the time it is the office girl who drives an Excel/catches the bus to work, who drafts these ads.

I would say the first is a contradiction the last two are redundancies.

I agree, could be a clever marketing idea to get both teams' attention to the add. more people notice it, higher chance of selling the ford ss

84RGE, LMAO!!!
But I would love to ring up the Secretary and made a recording of the call. "I would like to enquire about your Falcon VY SS UTE" LMFAO.: But in a ways, wouldn't the marketing dept get these prank calls and think it was a bad idea to use sarcasm as a sales puller.... And even then, take them to the ACCC... LMFAO "Hey, you advertised it, now I want it....otherwise I'm suing your for misrepresentation"...: |
