BP Unleaded 95 for the Falcon. My EF doesn't like 98 octane, but runs nicely on 95. I wouldn't put 91/Ethanol in the Lawn Mower, such is my disdain for the quality of the lower grades of fuel.

My X5 gets whatever 98 octane is closest to it when it needs filling. Usually, its Shell Optimax (whatever it's called now), but it seems to like and run better on BP Ultimate.

Only ever use 98 octane. Either Shell or Caltex, sometimes BP. Depends whats convenient.

The silly thing is for people who don't want to run any ethanol in their cars is that BP ultimate has ethanol in it, as do the vast majority's of premium petrols. Judging off my experience with reading's taken off the wideband o2 permanently in my car, Mobile synergy has the least amount of ethanol in it. Yet most find it doesn't perform as good as the others, why? No/less ethanol of course.

I believe BP ultimate to have 4 % ethanol in it.

Nope BPU has no ethanol content.

From BP themselves:

Where's the diesel and LPG options? I don't use unleaded except for a small amount in my LPG Falcon.
Pug = Diesel
EL = LPG
XE = 98 Ron, but as it's not driven, it doesn't get much fuel.

I'm with sgt doofy wheres the LPG option? I use Mobil LPG and will use BP or Caltex if necessary.

Apart from that I just run Mobil 91 in my 3V. I stay clear of anything Shell! Shell LPG is garbage and I have also had pinging issues with Shell 91.

I have run Optimax, Mobil 8000 (I think thats their 98) and Shell 95 and get no better performace or decernable fuel economy benefits so I just run 91. My 3V is drinking LPG most of the time anyway.

I generally run Caltex Vortex 98 as the Caltex servo is right near my work, however I have run BP Ultimate and Shell V-Power as well from time to time. I only run premium though and have done since I got the car.

5.4 GT - Interesting apparently it is a new improved bp ultimate recipe, I mate of mine had a servo about 2-3 years ago and had a doco from bp stating that bp ultimate had a very low percentage of ethanol in it, so I assume they must have removed it now, either way i would like to see some independant testing on all the different fuels to see exactly how much ethanol is in them these days.

I have noticed that fuel varies a lot from servo to servo, i lost approx 100km's to a tank when i started filling up at a different caltex servo from the normal one i goto, i then went back to the normal caltex servo i was going to and got my 100km's back.

we found we got less k's per tank in our CRV when we tried the E10 stuff which wasn't justified by the couple of cents price difference,so wont use it, and definatly WONT feed the Sprint or my 440 with it.

Always use Mobil 8000 98 oct. put in bp 98 the other day as car was on the 20k's 2 go filled it up as usual, driving along decided to have a play and noticed pinging in the upper rev ranges, back to mobil happy days. Petrols aren't petrols are they. Car custom tuned to 98 fuel.
