Default Hottest Of All Hot Hatches On It's Way

The new Alfa Romeo Mito GTA will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show next week. Looks pretty tough for such a small car. Featuring a 1.75 litre turbo engine and 240hp through the front wheels with their Q2 diff (LSD). Should be a ball terror.

I'll reserve final judgement til I see it in the flesh/metal/plastic, but it does have some good lines for sure... The latest jobs from Alfa have been quite stunning.

Just what I was thinking.
For some reason hot hatches are going backwards ??!!
Anyone remeber the Escort Cosworth ? Now that was/is a beast
All this FWD crap is pointless.
A smoking hot hatch has to be AWD

Clearly you haven't driven one or read the link. The link clearly puts paid to the ongoing debate that the FWD wouldn't be enough.

Clearly AWD has more grip in all conditions than an FWD or RWD, but the RS has supposedly been designed to overcome most of the lack of grip, while saving weight and costs at the same time. Sounds good enough for me. As long as it's quick, I'm happy - and the article kinda reinforces that.

That's seriously one ugly car, looks like an attempt at a modern day VW beetle. :
Is the engine in the boot?
