Default Petition against Qld rego increase

Please ALL Queenslanders sign this E-Petition
Petition to stop increase of Car Rego in QLD by another $250 extra a year!

Please forward this onto every Queenslander you know. Do you know we will pay $800 a year for rego when Victoria only pay less than $200!

Thanks

Pass it on to as many people as you can , let the voice be heard

i don't know what the exact breakdown is, but we will be paying more than VIC. i didn't believe the $200 part, i think that was just a way to get people's attention from whoever came up with that email (i got the email yesterday, and i went and signed the petition straight away).

the beef we're having up here in QLD is first they have announced they'll be getting rid of the fuel subsidy scheme, and at the same time they're hiking up the rego rates, we have had council rates hiked up in the last year or so and we're just paying more and more for the right to own a home or drive a car to the point that it's just plain ridiculous.

it will get worse. once the fuel subsidy scheme gets scrapped, we'll see more price increases due to higher transport costs.

no happy times in the sunshine state.

Unhappy Rego prices

I just got my renewal papers for the BA Ghia 6 cylinder
$340 for CTP
$415 for rego
$46 for traffic improvements
thats for twelve months in Brisbane metro
and if you are one day or more late in paying its another $48 late fee
thats $801 for a six cylinder
or for six months
$178 for CTP
$207 for rego
$23 for traffic improvements
thats just on $400 for six months
plus $48 for late fees as in the twelve months rego plan

also as far as I know in Victoria in the outer suburbs or rural area its cheaper again its been 25 years since I lived in Victoria then if you had a 6X4 trailer you didnt have to register it
but here in QLD its $70 for twelve months for a 6X4 and god knows what a tandem costs
thats my rant for today and good luck with the $200 rego the last $200 rego I had in Victoria was a 253 Holden in 1984 and that was $240
thanks John

Angry Fuel subsidy

Me again
back about 10 years when Peter Beattie was in charge he said the fuel companies werent passing on the full amount so he came up with a plan to drop the subsidy and replace it with a discount of $150 on our rego there was a scream from all the richies so it never happened
history repeating itself
Back in 1974 Gough Whitlam came up with a plan to add 2 cents per gallon(thats 1/2 of one cent per litrre) and we would never have to pay rego again
well that caused a big stir probably the same people that cried poor in QLD
one last thing back in 1979 petrol was 14 cents per litre and the PM at the time Malcolm Fraser told us we were going world parity and every thing would be OK well guess what? the petrol doubled in price over night to 30 cents per litre from then on it just went crazy
thats the last rant for a while
thanks John

I was wondering how long it would take for all the other states to catch up to the rip off rates we pay here in NSW.

Try $637 for a 1992 hyundai.

and $880 for a BA XR8 ute

Good luck but comrade anna does not give a rats bum about anything except being in power and 3 years from now she will just deny any of this ever happened and the same intelligent aware members of society will vote for her again......

Done..not that Captain Bligh will take any notice. She ignored the RACQ petition on scapping the fuel tax. Which was the largest petition ever presented to Q Parliament.

I always thought the rego was more in Queensland to offset the the cheaper petrol where as in Victoria the rego is in the city $560 but dearer petrol. Looks like you guys up in Queensland are being kicked in the wallet twice thanks to the new Premier. Oh well she was popular enough to be voted in....But she will be a 1 term premier by the sounds of things.

Question One term premier

Anna hard hat had better make the most of it as shes gone for all money
what happenned to the billions and billions they kept raving about over the last ten years they spent it and have nothing to show for the money
What do you think of an ex Labor poly introducing a captain of industry to a current Labor poly to arrange a contract to build a tunnel and getting $500000 commission for the his effort
also Anna hardhats hubby didnt have a job and wasnt qualified for anything so she created a position for him in the QLD public service @ $3500 per week
All this I read in the Courier Mail news paper Im just reporting what I read
one last thing I wont tell you which political party I have supported all my working life just that back in 1977 I named my kid Gough
thanks John

I don't know how anyone could have thought that Springborg could have possibly been worse than anna. Seriously.

Labour party looking after the common man? I don't think so, not these days. I don't know how many of you labor voters realise that you will more often than not be better off personally with a liberal government.

haha What like GST, workchoices (which needs no explanation).
GST plus 47% tax for a working man is a lot of money to pay, when businesses get a nice flat rate of 30% then claim it all back anyway.

All liberal do is lie, and sell off government assets to earn their surplus.

Labour lie too however it's nowhere near as extreme.

Howard basically cut off everyone and gave it all to the Australian businesses, promised pensioners, promised everyone a lot actually, and ending up cutting off half their benefits.

Here's a link to what I'm talking about.

http://www.awu.net.au/109589607626152_5.html?H|19|109589607626152|165056 9191203

All that said once my business is up and running I'll be voting liberal, because with them the business side of the scales is touching the floor.

you do know that the keaton government sold off most of the assets before the liberal government got into power.......and the workchoices the ones that are in now have not made a difference what so ever.

And all i can say is the union are not happy with Anna bligh up here in QLD due to all the selling off she wants to do, which will cost alot of jobs more than likely.

I will sign although it wil not do anything. The bit that annoys me is the fact that utilities and V8's both see greater rises in rego. The ute allready cost over $800 a year, soon to be about $1200, I can't wait. All because apparently they want to try and deter young hoons from V8 utes, BS!

Young hoons.. probably something i will be branded as in 12 weeks time when i get my p's... yes some of us love utes and most probably dream of driving a V8 but this is complete BS... for a start qld "hoons" teens can drive anything pumping out more than 200ish kW.. fair enough. we can drive anything that isnt N/A...also a good thing...and we cant drive anything with more than 8 cylinders.. so detering us from V8's is a stupid reasin seeing as how we cant drive them anyone until the age of 21... so even from the point of view of a 17 year old.. the new registration costs and fuel subsidy thing is complete BS... it was hard enough with the cost of registation for a 4 banger for me... let alone if it was a ute or even a 6...so.. the government sucks

Tell me about it, no effect on the supposed target demographic but it hits the rest of us, hard. Talk about a money grab!

Guess they have to fix the massive deficit somehow, just wish I was not contributing so much.
