Default Numbers Please

Hi just got a couple of questions and can't find the answers.
1. How many AU Series I wagons were manual.
Didn't realise any were but read the other day there were some but only series I.
2. How many AU Fairmont wagons were fitted with a V8 and was this the 175kw v8.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

1. bugger all
2. bugger all, and would be the worst v8 in the range.

there's one here

If u did happen to find an AU V8 Fairmont wagon, it wouldn't be a manual as Fairmonts are always autos. If u did find one, it would be a one of a kind.

Nothing wrong with the 175kw V8, stock they aren't much chop but they're easy enough to get power out of.

You can't be serious can you?

If you are going to get offended at light hearted comments such as those then maybe you should reconsider posting. Hell if I got offended at all the things people say about my car I'd be a dribbling mess in an institution by now. Lighten up a little mate.

hey thanks for all of your replies.
I will give the discovery center a call.
I am aware there would definatley have been no manual fairmonts. However i was curious how many fairmonts were V8's as i am strongly considering puting a V8 in my wagon and thinking it would be easier to get it engineered if they were at some stage produced with by ford. They were i know this but how many i don't.

As for the Series I forte manual wagons i also am going to be converting my wagon to manual soon and again curious to find out how many there were.
Thanks for your replies i will make that call and let you know that there were
1. Bugger all
2. Bugger all
a very good summation i believe

People in glass houses should really not throw stones.....

The info I have is that there is only one AU wagon that is a factory manual. Was a Series I futura in Amaretto (that cinnamon colour) and it was made as a bit of a test mule or something, not really sure. Either way it apparently was bought by a Ford employee at one of their auctions.

As for the V8 Fairmonts, dont know if you'd ever be able to find out build numbers but there wouldn't be that money. For some reason I am thinking that Ford actually dropped the Fairmont wagon after AUII but I'm not sure if that is correct.
