Yes should be good.

To be honest, the small AMG runs out of puff between 100 to 200..

The RS4 on the other hand...

When you say "small AMG", I'm assuming you're not talking about the C63 AMG?....because that beast will absolutely slaughter an RS4!

My BIL has an RS4. Fantastic drive!!!
Probably one of the best, if not THE best V8 note I've ever heard. Simply awesome.

Have a fun weekend.
(care to share how you got them???)

So very true the 4.2L Audi V8 has the best V8 note ive ever heard bar NONE.
S4 is a fantastic car but the RS4 is really something special.
Ive had the privlidge of riding in an S4 they are fantastic.
But the RS6 Avant would be my pick if i had a choice.

meh, I prefer the S4 4.2l V8 of the prevoius model.
For 120+k car the S4 with it's blown v6 is just not the same.

The one pictured has the 4.2 V8 in it. In RS4 guise, it is the current model here in Aus, even though they don't sell them anymore.

Why do Audi insist on mounting their motors so forward?... :

What exactly did you find lacking in the SLK55 if I may ask?...

They are AWD, the front diff is possibly integrated into the sump, so packaging is the issue. Doesn't seem to be a blight on handling, though they are more of an understeerer i believe..

It's not that it's lacking, that's probably not the word I would use to describe it. I guess it's the way it delivers the experience.

It's too much like a go-kart for me. Probably the best way to put it.. Jittery at all times, the tiptronic transimission is quite slow to respond for my liking, whether it be when it's left in D or manual shift mode, and the amount of driveline noise really annoyed me, very intrusive.

So it's not that it's lacking performance when you give it a boot full, it's just not as nice as I thought it should have been, especially for the money they are asking.

Umm, why has no one asked about the car that isn't pictured?!

I'm assuming these are the 'bench-marking' cars you spoke of in another thread, JPFS1? ;)

So how does local product compare sir?

Hi guys

yes we're back... and Turbotaxi has hit the nail on the head. Got the cars for the weekend via a rental company, was organised for a friends bux weekend.Took the cars to Phillip Island, had some car 'activity' there, came back and were in Melbourne for the night.

SLK55, not worth the money imho, could do without it.

The RS4 on the other hand is one of the best cars i've driven. The engine is so strong everywhere, close ratio box keeps it in the sweet spot. Grip is phenomenal. The only area of the car that could be better is the interior dash/plastics etc.

Got a couple of pics, will post when I get a chance.

p.s sorry about the second pic, looks like the pic is changing.
