Default AU XR front compatability.

Hi, just wondering if the XR fronts on AU 1,2,3 are interchangeable?

Its a forte but its not going to be a tickford copy, just love the quad headlight look.

as for headlights ive done the same conversion to an eb and ef using ed xr6 and ef xr6 bits. the ef project will be getting sold either whole or bits to make way for the au.

So have you got the headlights and what not, as frd906 pointed out?

If it's an AU2 onwards forte, the bonnet latch will need changing too

Put an ad up in the wanted section of the forums. You'd be surprised the crap people have lying about in their sheds.

I put an ed xr front on an Ea once, instead of buying the xr lights I brought 2 sets of spotties, 1st set 60w and second set 120w, worked a treat and was cheaper than the proper lights, this was about 13 yrs ago though and the xr lights were about $400 a side.

I will soon have a spare set of xr lights as I am replacing mine because one of the low beams is cracked. Its not completely broken, but there is a big line going from one side to the other. However if you need a set they will get you up and running. Let me know. They will be much cheaper than $250 a side.
