Default Who would buy one of these FG Falcon coupes if they were available?

Check out what one the the forum members FJ20ET has done with the FPV GS and say what you think, if you were choosing an FPV model and you had the choice of sedan or coupe (take into account are you buying the car as a family daily (you would need the 2 rear doors) or purely as a car to enjoy on the weekends) which would you chose, both available with the same running gear??

I personally think its one of the best looking FPV's that I have ever seen, imagine the different colours as well, looks amazing.

The thread with pics:
http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11282687

Check the thread out for the other pics.

I made this thread as I didn't want to hijack FJ20ET thread.

I like it, great concept, but can't see it becoming a commercial reality. To me the rear end treatment shares a lot of similarities to the late release Monaros/CV8s/GTOs, not that I don't like them, quite often offer to be designated driver in my mate's tweaked CV8

I reckon it looks great but they still need to pump the rear fenders out a bit more.

trying to emulate the XA-C coupe with the rear side glass looks horrid. Apart from that a nice machine.

Agree with the comment regarding the rear guards. should be able to fit 26x10.5 tyres (with 5" of dish) with no lipping/tubbing or guard rolling straight off the factory floor.

As above, and would also ( being kid + missus free ) give my left testie....

Not a fan of the GS either, but as a coupe if they could get a mix between the two rear side lights and in a shorter chassis with a big bulge hidding a Kenne Bell,
well Merry Christmas to "ME"

PS, nice work on the photoshop guys :sm_headba

Did the new Monaro that Holden made ever make money for Holden? I know it was exported so that was the only thing that kept the program going one would imagine.

I'm single, don't often need the rear doors.

I love it, that would be my next car (would have to decide if in V8 or F6 form, depends how Coyote goes). Shame we'll never see something like that.

That is car porn, love the black outs on the boot, the old X series rear window shape is still so perfect even today.
Good work!

Yep I'm in. black or Navy blue with cashmere trim for me.

Only for a factory version not a modded one.

as mentioned to be truly retro Falcon coupe the rear guards should be pumped more and to fit a 10" rim with a 305+ tyre, like an FG ute can.

Pricing needs to be within $5 to 10k of the equivalent sedan.

Oh and the economics will kill it.

Great to see such a positive reaction. I love the big Ford Coupes, owned an XB Coupe myself but the example shown looks wrong for my personal tastes. The roof line and glass is too high and the rear needs to be more shapely. This feedback takes nothing away from the impressive artistic efforts of theose that created these images.

If that was available tomorrow I would be still purchasing a sedan.

Thank you - place in Chrissy stocking please.

As a photo shop theme it has the looks, won't discuss the pros & cons and trying to modify the theme further as it ain't, unfortunately, going to happen.

Awesome effort though :sm_headba

Would definatly buy one as long as they didn't price it stupidly - the bad resale puts me off buying a new Ford at the moment but in 2 door it would hold its value so much better.

Take one in black or a blueprint type colour.
