Default Ballistic 100cpsi High-Flow Cats on sale again from Surefow Exhaust (site sponsor)

http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...07#post3005007

Absolute bargain.

If you're in the market for a high-flow cat for you AU, you won't do better than these....and they're cheap too!
Even the regular price is good, but these sale prices are awesome!

Only on sale until the end of January 2010.

** No, I don't work for Sureflo Exhaust, just wanted to let you all know!!!

Just was reading that these cats are illegal. If so why is this?? Also what would the difference sound wise be. Currently i have pacemakers, with a 2.5" cat back with 1 muffler just in front of the rear axle and a modified stock cat (By itself is now hollow not my doing hence thinking about replacing it.

I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure they're not illegal for AU's - IIRC highflow cats are only Euro 2 compliant. This is fine for AU Falcons, as they only need to comply with Euro 2 emission standards. Euro 3 kicked in shortly after the BA mk1 was released......

On post BA mk1 cars, it's a bit more tricky....

The best person to ask about this is THUNDER TIME, he owns Sureflo Exhaust who sponsor this forum and they sell the Ballistic Cats - shoot him a PM and see what he says!!!

I can only speak for what I've been told, and what difference it made to my own car - it made the exhaust sound that little bit 'deeper' with its growl.....hope that makes sense!

Pretty sure thats right, Euro 2 compliant meaning AU's are safe with them on. Pretty much any of our modified cars would fail anyway, so it doesnt really matter.
