Default fuel pump / filter service question

ok so im well over due to do a service on the monty.. doing it this w.e.

im just going to change oil and filter as well as air filter spark plugs and leads are recent.

so what i was woundering is, is it worth changing the fuel pump now or when its about to pack up?

also where is the fuel filter located?

the car is has around 156,000 km and i don't know when the pump was last changed>

The fuel filter is located on the passenger side in front of the diff. IRS falcons have a different fuel filter to live axle falcons. IRS has 2 screw in fittings and live axle has 1 screw and 1 push on clip fitting.

hey thanks beer, is it worth replacing them yet do u personaly rekon? or just wait untill the pump starts playing up?

Replace it when it plays up. 214,000km on the original pump in mine and no issues at all.

i changed my fuel pump on my ef and they state they should be good for 300,000km te same with fuel pump so it would depend on the cleanleness of the fuel you buy.

289 000 on the monty, original pump and filter, lol.

On this car, 104 000, both pump and filter just replaced. Just comes down to luck of the draw with what you fill up with.
