Saw the stupidest thing today in a toilet at a customers factory. It was a poster from the Victorian Government to show males on how to go to the toilet!!! Do they really think we are that stupid and need their help to show us how to wipe our rear ends! I will try to get a pic so you all can have a laugh or think WTF!!

They are in queensland too. By sitting more upright, you empty your bowels more completely, than leaning forward. Its about preventing bowel
cancer..its a serious disease...

You would be seriously surprised at how many people really do need instructions such as this.

FFS we've had to put stickers above all our flushers advising people to "flush until bowl is clear".

Different countries have different ideas on toilet use.

Great idea, I think some of you may be missing the value of this initiative.
I know that whenever I think of excrement I think of politicians especially in NSW. That the government wants to involve itself in another part of my life can only have a laxative affect. Well done think tank.

The only problem I can see however is the politicians knowing how many posters they sent out; no doubt a basis for a new tax.

He either wants to be a dog or he's being adventurous or doing a dare for mates. It's hard enough doing it normally where you only worry about aim, let alone having to get the height, trajectory, and the aim right as well with one leg in the air

I work for a regional TAFE in an area with high migrant levels, many of these migrants are used to squatting over a hole to take a dump (or pee - women).

So the pictures are there to ask them to stop standing on the porcelain bowl and to sit on the seat.

There have been some serious injuries where people have been squatting on the toilet rim and it has collapsed, so much so that the Australian Standard for the wieght limit for the toilet bowl has been increased so that can withstand a weight of up to 150kg.

Pics taken from a village called Tordi Garh, in Northern India. This is not the norm, but actually one of the guest room toilets of the village Prince.

Hilarious but true. Also, squatting with your legs apart and back bent forwards is supposed to actually evacuate your bowels much more efficiently than sitting with preppy posture will - because it straightens your bowels out (they're not the same shape as the survature of your spine!!!). Just try it yourself.

A bit off topic but when did the new weight standard come into place? and what was it before? - Not long ago I noticed a fracture (I dont want to use the word crack) in my bowl and ive been blaming it on my fat mate who comes over every day after work and uses my throne. He gets angry when I mention it but the hair line fracture is getting concerningly bigger.

I am not 100% sure, but about 2 or 3 years ago.

I think the reason for the sign you mention in the first post is to show "new Australians" how to use a toilet. Sounds stupid but some countries don't use a typical toilet like ours.

Ok got a pic but sorry about the poor quality. You can make out the Victorian Government logo on the bottom.
The top 2 are the wrong way and the bottom is the correct way for toilet bowl and urinal!!!

What would i do without the government. I never knew how to take a crap until this poster!!
