If you're going to use it then you may as well get it right. I think it goes " sometimes it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt." |

The ones sold here had to comply with ADR27A and had 2V Weber and a decel valve on the intake manifold and the standard body. |

Ive seen this car (at the SFS in VIC, did you come over for that?), the best thing you can do to your car is de-rice it, remove the bonnet mural thing and bring it to stock, the car deserves it.
I know thats a harsh comment but they are very rare here, and good ones get decent money in the UK. If you would like to sell it id be interested in the asking price.

So far I've seen about 7 or 8 X-packs around the web in Aus. Saw your Xpack at SFS this year too. Lots of owners on he classic ford forum. Unsure of a value on them but i'd say around 20-25k

Whether they are genuine or not is another thing.
Does anyone know if it is recorded on the ID tags or anything like that?

We were able to option up aus deliverd cars with Group 1 equipment such as twin down draught webers, diff options etc........ BTW I have a 2dr Rs2000 (factory auto rare as) 5 speed fitted for sale now if anyone is interested. yep the one in the avatar.<<<<<<<<<<<

Very few general X-Pack RS2000s were sold because they were very expensive dealer option in the UK. Plus RS2000s were like red rags to an insurance company. My uncle worked for Ford and all the employees wanted them, but none of them could afford the insurance let alone the X-pensive X-pack options.
Most of the x-packs out there are just standard cars with the fibresports kit fitted. Theres a couple in Melbourne and I even thought of fitting a kit to my old RS 2dr but at the time it was going to cost me $2400 to get one sent over from the UK. Even though the exchange rate is better now, its still a 3 month wait on kits from Smith & Deakin and cash upfront. I would love if someone started doing kits here in Oz. I'd be the first customer. |
