Hi guy's,
I have a 99 AU ute with column shift auto, which is not starting in park anymore, only nuetral. I can feel the gears go into park, but the electrical still thinks its in reverse (reverse lights on when in park) I had a search but couldn't find anything on this issue. Feels like a switch of some kind? Thanks for any help, Scott. |

I have had the same problem on a wreck i bought a while ago. Starts fine in neutral but not always on park. I have not tried fixing it yet but the gear selector is just slightly out of adjustment. When i hold it further on the position of park or will start fine. hope that makes sense.
Cheers, Rhys

Linkage bushes could be worn and need replacing.
