The new MC model has dropped some colours and added 3 others, Midnight Sky, Lunar Sky and Dark Mikastone. I was wanting Sea Grey, but this has now been dropped. Anybody know whether Midnight Sky is dark grey / charcoal? On UK website it looks more blue than grey and I know you can't go off colours on websites.
PS Just ordered an MC Mondeo Titanium TDCi for January delivery - can't wait. (May have to change the colour option though if not right) |

This is what Midnight Sky looks like on a Ford Kuga in the UK. Looks very similar to Sea Grey. Can't work out why Ford can't get the colours on the website to look anything like what they do in reality - actually I'll blame the idiots that photo shop the photos to the point that they only mildly represent the actual car. Make it look all glossy, new and futuristic. No point in presenting cars how they actually look now is there?! |

BMW is the best online, select any color you want and spin the car around 360 degrees you can also change the wheels at the same time, not hard is it!

The rendering of those colours just doesn't look right. Dark micastone looks like light silver, and I can't see much difference between the blues. Don't Ford dealers have brochures for the MC yet?
A pretty limited range of colours - I remember Clarkson complaining about this recently with regard to VWs.

The colour range is perfect if you like bland, mid bland, or extra bland. Mind you, have a look at the majority of the cars on the road 80 - 90% fall into this category. |

Colours are a BIG yawn. Says a lot about the target sales demographic.

i'd say the midnight sky is a blueish grey or like a steel grey and the lunar sky is like a silver grey...

Oh .....sorry, .....I was still snoozin' after seeing the exciting new colour range for the MC.
Ford need to hire some junior IT-geeks to do their web pages, and bring some life into them. BMW can, so the technology is already out there. |

Panther Black is nice, but I don't want to be washing the car every 2nd day - otherwise it looks like Sea Grey anyway. |

I had a Silhouette BA XR8 before the Mondeo, I would wash it and an hour later you could see the dust all over the car, I loved the car when it was clean (for about an hour) but was a real ****** to keep clean. Was my first and last black car - NEVER AGAIN. |

Camry/Aurion - usual black/white/silver....plus a red, light blue, and greeny/grey metal colour.
.........And they can do a 360deg external or internal rotation. Come on Ford Oz........hire some geek graduates to do your websites. Ssssh ...don't tell anyone I actually looked on the Toyota web site. Oh, the shame, the shame... |

Took delivery of Titanium. Loving it. Midnight Sky is very similar to Sea Grey but in MHO looks better. From a distance in it has a hint of Gun metal blue. Up very close it has metalic flecks of green and purple although it's not noticable unless in direct sunlight. Great colour all the same.

Yes, would agree Midnight Sky is pretty gorgeous.
Pity now avail and not 9months ago when I bought. Sad too the demise of Tango (2009) and Blue Ambition (2008?). |
