Default Fords best looking falcon

What is fords best looking falcon? Stock as it rolled out of the factory?

I say my top 3 are the following...

1. EL XR8 with full tickford kit, 16s and 185kw model

2. BA XR8/GT (boss powered cars), loaded with all options, leather, climate control and premium sound.

3. G6ET

XR GT - I know a lot of people will say the XY, but for me I prefer the more subtle, understated XR. But I'd be happy to have any XR-XY, they're all pretty good looking as far as I'm concerned.

XB - Love the '70s Coke-Bottle styling, it's such an iconic shape and the design worked so well, better than the Val and the Kingswood which look kind of awkward in later models. The XAs and XCs were good looking cars too, but I hate the big square XC Fairmont lights, they don't work with the design language, and the XA is a little too bland for my liking.

EL - The best looking of the modern Falcons, sleek and sporty. A neat EL Ghia or XR always commands my attention. Not a fan of the flat front EF.

Top comment, me too. At last someone who understands the XB language without it just being a coupe. I think the HQ had it all over the XA the XB over the HJ but I really think that the CL looked tough over the XC and HX. Ahh the seventies, when every aussie car became a classic!

So for me, a V8 XB even as a four door.

Have to disagree there, I always thought the 70s Falcon coupes were a bit fat and a little disjointed compared to a Charger and the interior of those model Falcons was an absolute travesty. The early Monaros were nice looking two doors HK/HG/HT.

Favourite Falcon two door is XP, favourite foor door from a styling point of view was XR/XT. They did some nice things with stickers through the 70s to try and make the cars look good but from a pure styling perspective the Falcon's heyday was the late 60s.

I couldn't feel that you could possibly be more wrong. Their lines are so clean and swoopy, and big wheels take care of the 'fat' factor. And the cockpit dash of the XA and B is gorgeous.

I'm saying this as someone who currently owns four chargers but I only wish the charger had the clarity of line and form that the XB has.

The charger is a very wild and informal looking design which I love from most angles but the front doesn't seem properly to flow to the back like the XB hardtop does. Like the entire VH range the charger front clip seems to be from a different car to the back two thirds.

Been done before through a poll but I'll still add my 2 cents.

XB coupe, then XA coupe.

Like the ED shape but cant bring myself to say its the best.

B series would have to be next along side the T3 TS50
