Does anyone know what wires on the plug to the stereo are for the steering wheel controls?
I have a AU3 Fairmont with an aftermarket TFT Stereo and I want to hook up the steering wheel controls to it. Thanks

Thanks guys, I have had a look, but not sure if it will work with my headunit, mine is the same as this
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/250574738...84.m1423.l2649 so it's kind of a generic brand, however allows for direct plug in with a 3.5mm Jack. Does anyone know where you can buy these from as I've done a search and cant find them (or a price) Cheers

Generally the units need to be able to receive a signal from a remote, and this is what the CAT unit grabs to 'talk to' the steering wheel controls.

The Pac unit may be an option for you but as with the Cat you'd have to verify it's compatibility http://www.mobileelectronics.com.au/...-pac-swi-jack/ |
