auto air steer is car industry jargon for:
Austmatic transmission
Air Conditioning
Power Steering

in the same way that i5 8g 2T is computer jargon for:
Intel i5 processor
8 Gigabytes ram
2 Terabytes or disk storage

Because the general fordforums population is going to find a computer analogy easier to understand than cars?

I did some work experience at a car yard a couple of years back, one of the older salesmen told me some great ones.

Humphrey Bear = Air (conditioning)
Fast Park = Power Steering
Pop = Airbags
Stop = ABS
Pop & Stop = Airbags & ABS
Winona Ryder = One Owner

Think there were a few more too but I can't remember them off the top of my head.

The car industry has a language all its own , here are just a few examples .

Death Sentence = Electric Seats
Bidet = Rear Washer & Wiper
Fast Glass = Eletric Windows
Harp = Radio
Stove = Heater

A Car City yard , needs no more explanation than that . More than enough reason to avoid this car like the plague even if it was $2.99 .

I got my wifes AUIII from there (8years ago), mate the car was a good car and the price was right after some negotiation

In our case it was a cash sale no trade deal, (though I got the impression they were more interested in selling finance than cars, but thats most used car dealers any how) but the way I see it is there are alot of used cars out there good cars turn up all over the place just like 5hit boxes. we had a minor warranty issue that I decided was easier to fix myself ratehr than book it in and loose the time on drop off & pick up

After she was T boned and it was written off we, went back there and they had some good BA's there but we evened up buying a new VZ instead, we havent been in the used car market since then so I dont know what there like but I assume the same holds true

A guy advertised (on another forum) a boat for $15k, no takers.
Next post a month or so later, he drops his price to $12.5k…
Another month or so he drops it to $11k,
Then after a couple of weeks he posts “any reasonable offer.”

So I contact him, VIA the forum, (including posting a reply in the thread) and try to arrange an inspection. Takes him ages to reply, and he seems a bit disinterested, but finally I nail him down and get to have a look at the goods.
He spends the whole time telling me how he doesn’t want or need to sell it and all the plans he has. I figure it is a good base for me to start work on, and I offer him $10k.
Guy goes apeshit, I mean really rude, accuses me of wasting his time, trying to rip him off, etc.
Back at home, I go online with the intent of posting something unfriendly in his thread. He has already been in and edited all his previous posts to say that he wants $15k “firm.”

Of course the fact that I have quoted his last post, and his posts now all clearly say “edited on” looks rather sus.
