You just won a competition and you get to chose a new Falcon Ecoboost G6E or a Ford Mondeo Titanium Ecoboost, decisions decisions, which do you chose, feel free to comment why.
Some of the tech that comes with a Mondeo Ecoboost includes Blind Spot assist, Radar cruise control, swivelling headlights, 9 Speaker Sony Premium sound system, sunroof, push button start e.t.c. On the other hand in the Falcon G6E we have rear wheel drive, an arguably better gearbox in the ZF, a higher power and torque tune, 8 inch touch screen, sat nav and perhaps arguably better tuned suspension for Australian / N.Z. roads. Would be a tough decision or would it ? |

Id take the G6E personally... Mondeo is probably the better proposition however.

If I had to choose between those i'd two, the G6E, though i'd retrofit an FG1 front bar, I cant stand the front of the G series now.

I parked close behind a Mondeo yesterday, looking hard at it I'd swear they're actually a bit wider than a Falcon.

more car, slightly heavier yes but RWD with near 50/50 balance, brilliant handling and corner turn like Mondeo drivers can only dream of having.. But what do i know, stuck with a Camry Altise hire for a week....the car where lost souls go.... |

On paper I'd probably go for the Mondeo Ecoboost with all its extra Euro technology and put the Falc tune in the Ecoboost motor but a thorough test drive of each before deciding would be a compulsory call.

I'd take the Mondeo, then I would sell it so I can buy an XR6 turbo.

Whichever one would get me the quickest sale and the most money back.

id like to say the falcon, but i think a test drive of the mondeo might change my mind.
snap decision, no chance to test drive first id go the falcon, for me the fg is a known quantity. its only the motor that would have to prove its merits to me. |

I'll go against the trend.
G6E purely on the basis of rear wheel drive. I did 8 years in a front wheel drive and just couldn't take it any longer. Vincenzo |

G6E as I don't like the Mondeo (we have them at work). Too small and hate the fact the blinkers are on the wrong side.

Mondeo.
When we took our then-new G6E in to get the towbar fitted, they loaned us a Mondeo, and after driving it around Rocky for an hour or so, it had me and the missus looking at one another and asking "did we make the right choice by ignoring the Mondeo...?". The one we drove was a specced-up diesel automatic...(not sure if it was a Titanium) and geez did it go. It really had us reassessing our future buying... |

I'd take the Mondeo personally (I'm not normally a fan of FWD but you must admit that Ford Europe are probably the best in the world when it comes to FWD chassis tuning)

What has the better resale, I'd take that...
And sell it, along with my 2011 GT, then by a 2013 Shelby GT500 with the proceeds. But seriously I'd go the Mondeo. |

Mondeo.... don't care for the RWD / FWD debate, and the Mondeo has more of the goodies I like. Prob a little less thirsty as well.
