Typhoon for sure. Often lauded by the press as Australias best ever muscle car, beating allcomers.

GS, bang for your buck, nothing in the world would compare.
(Only if it's the coyote)

GT without a doubt, the only true muscle car, Typhoon is for boy racers and GS.....what is a GS anyway??? Did they ever make a Phase 3 GS?? No but they made a phase 3 GT
I know I would rather have a XB GT Coupe over an XB GS Coupe...hindsight is a wonderful thing

If it was my money, I'd go for the GS with the 5L supercharged V8. I've read people are doing ECU tunes only and getting around 350-400rwkw. Plus you get the sound of the glorious V8.

It all depends on what you want to spend and what floats your boat. Myself and I'm sure many others here have been stuck with the same decision you are facing at the moment.
The basics are, if you want to spend as little as possible from that selection then go the GS, still has plenty of potential but missing a few of the FPV luxuries. If I went this option I would fit some brembos with the addition of a tune etc. Now between the GT and the F6 I personally find them fairly similar in specs and potential. The F6 has better fuel economy and a more prodominant mid range punch where as the GT has, well the GT name/stigma and distinctive sound of V8 grunt coupled with that mouth watering blower whine. So as I said it's whatever floats your boat really as they are all great bang for buck cars. Benny.

You can buy a used GT for GS money now so a low KM second hand standard GT with factory warranty would be worth considering.

Im not a 'boy' or a 'racer', but the Typhoon is the only car Ive had where commo drivers dont even waste their petrol trying.
Even they are smart enough to know, it only leads to one thing: FAIL

I was in the same boat 2 weeks ago. Went down to my local FPV dealer and drove them all. I went there with intention of buying a GT/GS and came home with an F6 MKII. The car is so fun to drive,i giggling like a school girl. The GT was a nice drive and felt a lot better than the GS which was a little dissapointing allround..
Just my 2 cents. |

I just realised that you may not be referring to the Coyote equiped GS and GT's. If you're limited to the 5.4's then I'd suggest getting the F6.
Benny.

Considering the OP is considering the Typhoon as one of his 3 comparisons I take it he's looking at a B series

in QLD the f6 will be cheaper to rego and insure than the big 8s.
but nothing beats the noise of a supercharged coyote. the 5.4s sound wicked too. id personally have any of the 8s. |

i like them all ,these would be my pick, i like the GS as the entry level, down the track fit a set of hard shocks a tune and bigger treads ........... track day annihilator here we come!
if not the GT would be my pick, on the other hand , something still understated (for the anti speed brigade)and still blisteringly quick the F6E, and with the luxo stuff and with decent economy would definately get a look. good luck with your choice. |

If you can stretch to a SC GT-P I would. Only car in the FPV range with proper supportive sports seats and you get the beautiful progressive 6/4 brembo's as standard kit too.
F6 is a wild ride, super turbo rush but on-off turbo boost transition and lack of a smooth power progression can make for some very interesting mid corner situations, I tell ya. They're a real handful to drive really fast. I like the GT-P for the attributes noted above and its super smooth progressive power delivery, very strong mid-range and devastating top end punch. Second choice would be a SC GT. GS brakes arn't good enough IMO. Test drive them all, one is bound to "talk to you" more than the others. Last edited by Rodge; 03-06-2012 at 12:28 PM. |

Why does every comparo with these cars turn to a 1/4 mile bragging session? Not many buyers care for 1/4 miles nor will their car EVER see a drag strip?
To OP go and drive both and make your decision then

Amen !! The preoccupation with 1/4 mile times for cars that spend 90% of there time pottering around in traffic is getting tiresome. |
