If the boxes are unopened, how do you know they arent full of rust?

well, lets hypothetically say that they have zero rust, and hypothetically they were covered by a NOS xt boot lid.... hypothetically of course.... and what if there was 4 hypothetical za bootlids...

Well i dont know if you can compare but Ive been looking for parts for my '73 GTV..a guy on ebay has a NOS (I think anyway, looks it) boot lid and wants $880 for it.
Now...I woudlnt pay anymore than $500 because I know thats around what it would cost to get my rust fixed up. Whats it cost to fix up a Ford part? Then work from there. Id only buy it if it saved me money or time.

Yeah they do, and I guess with cars worth north of $100k its not a problem.
For me I dont care if its NOS or a repaired item, as long its in good condition and is dimensionally correct is fine.

Hehe yep unfortunately its quite true. How do you put a definitive price on NOS bootlids for a relatively rare car? The OP and a potential customer will have to come to a mutual agreement.
