hey guys I just bought a 94 ef xr6 sedan and I am having trouble with the door locks. if I press the remote locking only the rear doors will lock and unlock the front door actuators are moving but will not lock. can anyone help me thanks

Probably broken actuator shafts in the central locking motor, you can buy new cog/shafts off ebay for $35 and replace them.
Did a mates au fairmont the other day not very hard to do, door trims off and pull out motor, the repair kit came with instructions, maybe the same thing for the ef/el not sure. Last edited by phat_stak_tipa; 02-07-2013 at 09:41 AM. |
