Default Hawke / Keating / Peacock / Howard puppets....

Hi

In early 1990’s was a great ABC? Sketch called ‘Rubbery Figures”. ‘Fast Forward’ and ‘Full Frontal’… had also same style called ‘Charisma Trek’…Rubbery Figures on U-tube. Does anyone know this… available to buy?

ONE HD have been showing old episodes of Fast Forward on Thursday nights for a few months now. Most episodes contain a bit of Hawke-era satire, since the show was from 1989.

We might be "old farts" but we smell good!
Re-runs of "Fast forward" still crack me up.

Yes the current two carbon copy leaders with basically the same policies are particularly uninspiring.

I remember one radio show from the eighties whose name eludes me at the moment, a short one of only five minutes or so each day, about a foul mouthed bear that pre-dated the movie "Ted" by about thirty years. The theme song started out "He drinks and smokes and swears a lot, we found him in the gutter"...

I also have an old cassette tape from the Hawke era, that I recorded off a mates .45 single record. I can't recall who performed it, but it's called "The first live television broadcast of parliament", and starts out as Hawke addressing the parliament, but as he gets more and more annoyed with the reporters filming it all, it steadily degrades into a sweary tirade against anyone and everyone in parliament, both the opposition and his own side of the house, as well as the reporters. The language is absolutely filthy...but by christ it's funny.
It's absolutely unavailable anywhere on the internet, so I'm going to get it transferred as an .mp3 file, as future generations deserve to be exposed to it...
