Is it just me being an uneducated immigrant or are the new mitsubishi commercials a little misleading or is mitsubishi just trying to be too Australian.
Because honestly I have never heard of anyone referring to mitsubishi's as mitsi's before when I saw the new triton with that hideous grill I only knew it was a mitsubishi by the styling. Is it just me or are these ad's a bit confusing and unappealing. |

Like Toyota and their Bugger ad a few years ago...Ford need to be creative !!!
Top Definition Mitsi Extacy pills stamped with the Mitsubishi Car company's logo, became so popular in the mid 90s that rumours circulated that the car firm its self was behind them as a form of viral advertising. See also Mitsubishi Ecstacy I done some Mitsis last night and I was flying! Danced my *** off all night long. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Mitsi

I have 2 'Mitsis' and a few workers have said the line as a joke when I park next to em.
Annoying? Perhaps... but when someone says 'not happy Jan', 'bugger, 'but wait there's more' and 'which bank' we instantly remember the add and what it was for. |

Yeah mate its just you..
They have been referred to as mitsi's as for as long as i can remember, everyone i know calls them that, have done for years. My neighbour i had 30 odd years ago had a few mitsubishi's,his dog was called mitsi. So yeah, its just you. For the record, mitsubishi calling their cars mitsi's has absolutely nothing to do with green mitsis,or white mitsi pills for that matter...thats just silly talk. Only reason those pills are so well known was because they were proper mdma, some of the best to ever hit aus so they were very memorable,i had a few back in the day, last night... |

they are just trying to get in on the act with a catch phrase, like the hey charger and make people take notice of their product, the adds dont do much for me ,
i usually just find them annoying and hit the mute button and keep reading on my phone or doze back off to sleep on the couch. |

If it isn’t a term that’s regularly used, these ads will see that it is.
Personally I couldn’t be bothered being annoyed by an ad, I’m usually too brain dead when I’m in front of the box to care about them, that is on the rare occasion I haven’t recorded the program and I’m using ad skip anyway. Some of the most annoying ads over the years have also be the most successful. |

That's just the surface of it:
http://www.counterpunch.org/2006/03/...on-war-crimes/ http://hellfire-pass.commemoration.g...ril-at-sea.php Part of a culture that tried to kill us but refuses to admit wrongdoing or show contrition (unlike the Germans). Now they pretend to be as Aussie as meat pies. OK we all live peacefully together now in the modern world, but a nation that won't admit the wrongdoings of its past always has a question mark over it. If I were Mitsubishi I'd just shut up, don't push the boundaries and stick to selling cars the normal way.

Well Henry is dead and the Ford Foundation is completely separated! Italy has shown contrition I believe and did they (or Ford) use slave labour? Mitsubishi was taking a political stance in denying what they did still 70 or so years after the event. There are definite advantages in admitting something and being able to move on.

I've often referred to Mitsubishi as "Miss Bitchy" after a girl I once knew who use to own a Mitsubishi...Obviously she was far from nice hence the name I gave the brand of car she drove.
