Brings back fond memories of Need For Speed : High Stakes 1999. One of the first computer games to have a realistic physics engine and car visual damage. There was this awesome tool which allowed the creation of custom vehicles and many were available for free download by some clever people who did this for Fun. My personal favourite was racing around in an XH Falcon Divvy Van in full VicPol livery, that had flashing lights and all. Edited the .viv file (vehicle information file with acceleration, power, weight, etc) to some insane amount so it had ridiculous power (99999 horsepower) and weighed 999999 kg and had 8 speed transmission with a 20,000 RPM rev limiter. Won every single race and it would send every opponent or pursuing cop car airborne on impact, sometimes they would go into endless orbit due to some physics glitch . Could also drive around in a bus, lounge suite, bat mobile, bicycle, tractor, airplane on whatever else comedic vehicle someone had rigged up. Seemed to have a lot of Aus Ford Fans, with people making some nice realistic XY's, XD's, EF/EL. Someone even bothered to make Magnas and Camries... Custom vehicles could also be turned into random traffic driving around on the streets.

Wow, I owe you a slab of beer for making my childhood. I had countless hours of fun changing the vehicles to Australian ones I could actually afford or drive in the future. . Did you manage to utilise those skills later on in your career?

GTA IV. LCPD:First Response is the biggest gameplay mod that lets you be a cop. Now LSPD:FR in GTA V. You can run model mods without this though.

Just note if you go online with mods you may get banned. Especially GTA V.
More aussie cars would be awesome

I noticed the other day that the fuel inlet is on the wrong side of the supercars in autosport.
