Just heard Tangles has passed away at 68. He was a larger than life legend and will be sorely missed.
Rest in peace Maxy.

Absolute legend ol Tangles! Why isn't their personalities not just in cricket, but in all sports like Max Walker? Very funny man who played cricket for Australia when cricketers were real men! RIP Tangles!

Very sad news, one of the nicest personalities in world cricket, a great cricketer and an absolute gem of a commentator, will be missed immensely.

My first memory of Max Walker
Never met the man but he seemed like a genuine, all-round good guy.

Maxxi was one of the best - was fortunate enough to be at the SCG in the '70's when he and a young Dennis tore the Poms to pieces - "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if Thomo don't get ya, Lillie must".
Met them both over the years, both top blokes.
