Its not that prevalent these days that race tech filters down, that fact alone with this makes it cool.

I think it looks great as it is, just add a cage, seat, steering wheel and pedals.

Interesting to see the two different geometries of the push-rod suspension.

If the race cars idle at 4000 rpm then I wonder how the engine would perform down at 1200 rpm, and with the limiter being at 11,000 rpm, how it performs across such a massive rev range, and with a turbo too. Would the turbo be variable geometry I wonder, cause it would be crazy laggy if it wasn't. Or do the electric motors fill the power band in. I guess wait until the first road tests happen to find out, but it is pretty fascinated how this will work as a road car.

My guess is the electric motors bridge that gap, the 161HP motors for each front wheel will help that out.

The best idea would be Mercedes releasing the vehicle in that format with an adjustable wheelbase and the end consumer bolts whatever top hat he wants on top of it. Imagine the possibilities .

Epic stuff. So by the sound of it it has a massive turbo and uses an electric motor to power the turbo up at lower engine speeds.
Can't wait to see a drive review of this. Performance would be ballistic. |

I heard on the radio that 8 Australians have each placed $500,000 deposits for them. So 8 will be headed down under if all goes well. Would be nice to be able to afford a 5 million dollar car.

Wow! For the lucky 50 buyers. Hope they can drive, as this car would be more than a handful to drive.

The only problem is that every time it needs to be repaired, you get a 5-place penalty at the traffic lights for every fault they find....

The bodywork looks like a reimagined McaLaren F1 to me.
Which is fine as I still see that as the ultimate road car

Interestingly there is no 0-100km/hr time quoted, instead:
0-200km/hr in less that six seconds ! Where you can actually use this performance will be the biggest issue. Owners had probably plan on having a really good chiropractor available to fix up their neck and spine, image the doctor asking if this was a work related injury, no I just floored my Mercedes One a couple of times too many. |

Most super/hypercars have moved away from quoting 0-100 though. These days when a Mustang can do sub 4 seconds 0-60mph its taken alot of the shock value away.
