Man your a day late this was on the radio news sunday morning.
Triple M played Acca Dacca all day it was awesome! I went to the Black Ice show in Melbourne with my missus. We even saw Rayman Jay Bartholemoyel (is that how you spell it?) in the bar area lol!!! Remember him from Hey Hey Its Saturday!!! And my sons name is.....ANGUS!!!! The show was awesome we were blown away on the floor not too far from the stage. RIP Malcolm.....Your brother lives on and you were the one that put it all together after all those 40 years of rockin!!! Last edited by GASWAGON; 20-11-2017 at 06:40 PM. |

Well there you go, I've only just found out.
Very sad, but honestly for the better. I helped my mum through Alzheimer's and it is horrific! Another icon lost... But imagine the party in heaven with Bon? God will wonder what he created. Hope he has a good supply of scotch!

Being a child born in the 60's, I remember like it was yesterday, seeing Bon in drag singing 'Baby please don't go'on Countdown. AC/DC have had a massive influence on me, not only musically, but the way I live my life. Malcolm Young without doubt, one of the finest guitar players in the history of Rock n Roll. I know you will be at peace now, after that ****ty end to your life on earth, but now you are complete again and ready for the next phase. Thank you for making the finest songs of my life's soundtrack and those classic tough riffs. AC/DC will NEVER be forgotten and either will the Young brothers.

Mal was my favourite member of AC/DC...he is classic 70s Aussie. He never changed and man did he write some of the great riffs and classic songs we know.
That disease got him real fast unfortunately. Poor Angus and his family lost 2 brothers within 4 weeks with George passing away late last month. Angus' statement said it best... 'Job well done" |

Those two and the Brewster brothers from the angels for me. George had far more influence over that band than I think he gets credit for. Filled in on more than a few occasions back in the days of Stevie etc. It's sad but they really are gone, Angus is the only one.

I have lots of good memories of the lads around Sydney in 75 and 76.
Great band, I cant remember anyone I new who didn't like them. All good things come to an end. UK

Yes, and the show after it - Blood & Thunder. Awesome docos. I wonder if it began as a bit of a doco on the same subject, then the producers realised they could split it & spin off 2 great shows. They are quite intertwined.
Next Sunday night is part 2 of the Easybeats, and the conclusion of Blood & Thunder, where it heads into the 70s & AC/DC's rise to fame. But for those who missed them, both of last night's episodes are available on catch-up, and well worth watching. Friday On My Mind (episode 1 of 2): http://iview.abc.net.au/programs/fri.../DR1620H001S00 Part 2 is airing next Sunday night, so it should be available after then. Blood & Thunder: Part 1: http://iview.abc.net.au/programs/blo.../DO1404H001S00 Part 2: http://iview.abc.net.au/programs/blo.../DO1404H002S00 |
