Default V16 Caddy

Went to the Classic Car and Coffee meet at University of WA today.
Been a few times, but today was one of the best, heaps of very unusual and rare cars.
Saw this 1931 Cadillac, V16.
Looking at the distributor cap with 16 plug leads was amazing.
Apparently it is 1 of 6 in the world and in the million dollar plus category.

Then there was this T model Ford done up in army desert paint complete with .303 Lewis machine gun.

they have the same firing order as the v16 Detroit diesel 2stroke

There is also one at a car museum in NZ.

For comparison sake there is a ex Nazi Mercedes staff car a couple of places along in the line up. Quite a sight to see these two vehicles next to each other.

A brief story on speed testing with the V16 Cadillac.

Crikey, that's not good, don't know why that is, and no I haven't been surfing for a Russian bride.

There is one of these Caddies in the San Diego Car Museum. Story board with pics shows it was a rusty wreck in a field and a guy bought it and spent ... wait for it ... 34 years restoring it to concours. Before he passed he donated it to the museum.

Marmon an american brand that went broke in the 1930's also made a V16
quite advanced.
The engine displaced 491 in³ (8.0 L) and produced 200 hp (149 kW). It was an all-aluminum design with steel cylinder liners and a 45° bank angle
